A partner for life not just after Christmas!


This week I have been inundated by spam emails from other dating agencies and my main competitor has special deals if you join in January, everywhere you look aggressive sales pitches tell you to make fresh starts. Some dating sites are even telling us that more people split up at Christmas so quick pick up a partner now.

I really dislike this aggressive approach that smacks of desperation, I for one am not waiting to get someone straight out of a failed relationship, it is a sad assumption that we must all rush out now and scavenge the wreckage of festive fallouts.

I have been having a chuckle at all the online dating adverts which have tens of thousands of members just waiting to hear from us? Hello has anyone heard of quality versus quantity? I couldn’t help but think of the gates of hell, thousands of desperate hands clutching for you as you put your profile up there for the masses.

Elegant is about having self respect, wanting to meet a life partner but being willing to wait for the right person it is discreet, personal and for those who want to stand out from the crowds. When I call people who have enquired I ask them how long they have been single, I am not looking to take anyone who is not ready to date. If someone needs counselling I will refer them to trained counsellors or ask them to come back to me in a few months.


It’s strange that we put so much focus on relationships in January, it is after all only a month, every season is jumbled now, we have Easter displays in December, Christmas decorations up in August but you are expected to change and improve your life on the 1st January every year?


I am not a religious person and I am not very spiritual but I do believe in Karma. The right person for you will be there when you are ready to meet them. Rushing yourself or panicking or being bullied into joining the wrong agency won’t make you happy any sooner. I would never push anyone into joining elegant until I believed they were ready, it would be detrimental to them and also anyone I matched them with.

I will still be here in Feb, Mar , April and beyond, yes join in January if you are ready but if you aren’t join a gym, spend time with your friends, enjoy being single and when you decide you want to find a partner give me a call, I would love to hear from you ,
